From my experience the contest account will only damage the psychology.

all the main thing is a demo account because the demo account is for the purpose of learning so you can trade not a contest account

If you want to take part in a contest then of course you have to trade first on a demo account, so first a demo account and then you can join the contest according to how you trade on a demo account.

do not use the contest account as the main account for studying because later it will trade aggressively
