If you feel you have found a strategy concept and a trading plan that suits you, and has been tested to achieve consistent profit on a demo account, then you are free to decide on the daily target in the form of pips or in the form of nominal balance in accordance with your capital.

you should not be too stiff to set a target for how many pips. better set the target in the form of percent. for example the target is 2% per day
