Using a demo account and a contest account is both good if you use it in the right way so that it has good potential.

using a demo account it can be done in a good way for practice whereas a contest account can't

Trading in demo contest usually trader will chasing big profit, and make them reckless on trading, but it will different when take part contest using real money, trader will carefully to managed account because besides getting profit they expect to become winner.

a demo account can provide huge profits if used for contests. no risk and can get reward
