Not using a guide I think it doesn't matter as long as you know how to trade properly

Using a mentor or not doesn't matter here because you shouldn't use a mentor if you can't afford it.

Using a mentor like that is good to do when you do have the money to pay. When someone doesn't have the money to pay it is better to use self-taught is good.
