I agree, because there is no difference between cent accounts and standard accounts in MetaTrader, this is what makes many beginners get fooled.
Indeed, on platforms like MetaTrader, cent and standard accounts appear nearly identical. The interface, charts, and trading features are virtually identical, so beginners often don't notice the difference.

Indeed, the difference between cent accounts and standard accounts is often misunderstood, especially by novice traders, so education is very important to prevent misunderstandings or even fraud.

The difference between a cent account and a standard account is visible in the spelling of the pair name. If a standard account is GBPUSD, then a cent account is often written as GBPUSDc. This is the difference I often see.

In my opinion, the real difference isn't the pair name, but rather the contract value and transaction scale. On a cent account, the balance is displayed in cents, so $10 would appear as 1,000 cents on the platform.

I often educate beginner traders about cent accounts. The easiest way for me to explain the names of different pairs is to make it easy for them to remember and understand.

Indeed, using simple methods like differentiating pair names (for example, by adding a specific letter) can be an effective method for helping beginners quickly identify the different account types. This approach is important because too much theory can be confusing in the beginning.

a beginner must learn small steps first before going to a deeper stage.
Indeed, starting with small steps allows beginners to understand the basics first, such as how the market works, risk management, and emotional control. Jumping straight into more complex stages without a solid foundation risks losses and confusion because they're not ready to face market dynamics.
