When trading with scalping techniques, I prefer using a cent account. The large deposit amount makes me reluctant to try an ECN account.

Using a cent account for scalping is often the choice of traders who want to keep mental stress low. Because the lot value is calculated in cents, profit and loss fluctuations are felt less.

I agree that cent accounts are widely used by robot traders, especially for scalping and high-frequency strategies. However, success still depends on the quality of the strategy, risk management, and broker conditions, not solely the account type.

The problem isn't with cent accounts themselves, but rather with their misuse and lack of transparency. Cent accounts are actually legal and even useful for beginners to learn with minimal risk. However, if misused for fraudulent purposes, they can be extremely dangerous.

I agree, because there is no difference between cent accounts and standard accounts in MetaTrader, this is what makes many beginners get fooled.
