In other cases, I've encountered brokers blocking Indonesian clients due to promotional program policies. One broker (which I can't name) blocked Indonesian clients because Indonesian traders signed up solely to take advantage of promotional program bonuses.

Indeed, if the number of cases like this increases from a particular country, some brokers choose extreme measures such as limiting promotional access for that region, tightening verification, and even blocking new client registrations from that country.

They just don't accept new clients from Indonesia, for old clients from Indonesia they still serve.

Many international brokers have restricted or stopped accepting new clients from certain countries, but continue to serve existing clients. The main reason is usually related to local regulations.

I believe this policy also aims to protect the system and prevent significant losses, especially for brokers with a dealing desk model. However, from a trader's perspective, this policy can be detrimental because it eliminates profit opportunities during large price movements.
