we are sometimes afraid to cut losses when we are wrong in predicting the direction of the market so we tend to let losses in the long term. even until we experience a margin call

because we feel a loss if we have to cutloss just like that, by holding the floating loss we expect the price to return quickly, and that should not be done by a trader

floating minus will drain psychology while floating plus will make us afraid of losing profits.

Floating minus is more on hold than floating profit because floating minus causes us to wonder whether we can come back again, whether we actually lost money,

most traders do prefer to hold floating minus positions rather than using stop losses, or in other sense they prefer cutloss over using safeguards, therefore never repeat them again if you do not want to keep losing money

From my experience so far, it turns out that it is not effective at holding floating minus for too long. it is true that one day the price movement will definitely reverse towards the original OP point but it takes a long time so a lot of time is wasted. it's better to cut loss immediately and make a new OP in the same direction as the price moves so that it always follows the trending direction.

most people tend to hold floating minus positions rather than floating pluses because the market expectations will turn very large so from now on you do not think like that
