Use averaging when the trend has moved far away so that way you don't have to open too many positions to be profitable.

wow, it's a dangerous technique bud. Yeah, there are some advantages to using an averaging system like the potential to get a higher return.

But trust me bud, if you are not using this technique properly or you're not sure about this technique, don't try it hahaha. It actually makes you greedy and it has more chances to guide you to a margin call precisely.

You must train yourself for a long time to try using this technique I think.

If your way of averaging is correct maybe you can win, but if it's wrong then you can call margin.
