In my opinion, the profitable time to be able to profit without indicators is at night, usually market movements will be active and this is where we look for profitable opportunities, especially if you are trading in gold, you can actually do so without indicators because usually gold is quite easy to predict.

I think it is more important not to use indicators at first because when you only use indicators you will never understand how to open a position without using indicators or in this case using price action because that is important
