Don't worry about floating spreads because it often happens so what we need to do is avoid trading when the market moves volatile or avoid news

In my opinion it depends on the broker and the type of account provided if there is a widening of the spread. not only news markets that spread widens, when opening the market spread also widens.

Spread when news occurs will widen, it happens to some brokers who use the current spread system. but for certain brokers the spread is fixed despite any market conditions.
