Saying that Bitcoin is getting closer to becoming a global currency is still a prediction, not a certainty. To become a global currency, Bitcoin must be widely adopted for everyday transactions, have regulatory certainty in many countries, and be able to overcome challenges such as price volatility, network capacity, and ease of use for the general public.

It's true that not all countries have legalized Bitcoin. Some recognize and regulate its use, others restrict it, and some even prohibit certain Bitcoin-related activities.
