The margin level is automatically provided by the broker so you don't need to calculate it.

margin level is not very important but for some traders it is important.

important or not the margin level is measured based on usage by traders.

To note, forex trading including margin trading. Where when you BUY / SELL then part of your Balance becomes Margin for the Transaction.

Margin level is a percentage to keep the margin call.

If your margin level is below 20%, then you will most likely experience STOP OUT. Or in other words, the funds / balance that you have have run out because you are experiencing losses that are too large. Thus, the system will act automatically to cover all losses from open positions that you have.
