for a capital of 1000 dollars you should be wise to use lots, preferably no more than a few lots

Start $1000 will safe using smallest lot size, 0.01 is the smallest position size can be used to works with $1000 more convenience, in part capital higher capital ideally gives strongest margin and better than smaller capital.
