we should only trade in one direction on gold, namely buy only, because even though gold goes down, in the end it is most likely that it will go up again.

I don't think that's what traders call people, there must be ups and downs, there are losses or wins. When you find a strategy that is impossible to lose, one of them is impossible, but when the probability of losing is smaller than winning, I agree
