Moving Average (MA) is very popular indicator and many popular Indicators coming from MA formula like Boilinger Band and so on. MA also used as automatic trendline. BTW today we'll learn the right way to read MA.
  • Golden Cross, means market turn to bullish. At this time price crossing above MA. Scenario : 1st price at the bellow MA (bearish), 2th price crossing MA (reversal), 3th price above MA (bullish).
  • Death Cross, means market turn to bearish. At this time price crossing bellow MA. Scenario : 1st price at the above MA (bullish), 2th price crossing MA (reversal), 3th price bellow MA (bearish).

It's just basic MA you could make your own formula by Multi MA or Combine with other Indicator.

Just note, too short periods MA made lot whipsaw and too long periods MA is easy to detect clear (main) tren but at first reversal you get lost some momentum.

I am one of them who uses the moving average indicator in my trade, the reason for using a moving average is because I can easily read the direction of price movements in the market. I set the moving average period in my MT4 with periods XMA 13/close, XMA 18/close, XMA 28/close, XMA 50/close and sometimes also use WMA 5/10 high / low.

With or without indicator it's on same purpose to get profit. I set my chart with no Indicator too. But I'm still using trenline and horizontal line. How about you?

how if the process of moving the moving average is a fake signal, how does this solve it, is there a setting on the moving average, is the identification of the bounce valid if it touches the moving average ??

Moving average is the simplest but most powerful indicator for me, the MA is used by many traders because it can be combined in various periods and combined with other types of indicators.

If you're MA user set your MA periods for long term like 100,150 or 200. Short periods MA will made lot of whipsaw (bad signal). Maybe, you could combine short periods and long periods MA.

Did you mean MA like Automatic Trendline? Okay, MA calculated base on history. First set your MA periods to long term 100, 150 and 200. BTW what's your timeframe? Short time frame will made lot whipsaw too.

If price near/touch MA it's just signal for retracement or reversal (DON'T ENTRY). Wait and see how price made action on that area before entry.

In my opinion basic trendline more better that MA.

maybe you can include the screen here. So that we are more clear about your explanation. In addition, if you wish, can you explain one technique that uses MA. So that we can discuss it together
