I do not think it is a matter of terms being understood or not.
The term regarding the deadline is in clear English. I do not see how this is unclear or hard to understand. I think this is a matter of members simply not bothering to read terms. Or if they do, they simply don't care.

example => date of guess date and time limit for guessing.
