Yesterday I only got 50% bonus from my deposit in cryptoaltum.
Its function is to add and hold losses (floating), but cannot be withdrawn.

since January cryptoaltum only gives a 50% deposit bonus even though the website page mentions a 100% bonus for the first time deposit

What do you mean? CryptoAltum has no deposit fees.

The Burst bonus has been changed to 1000 coins. Members who have created CryptoAltum accounts already have the next 24 hours to complete the easy steps to still get the old bonus.

Because too many people are signing up fast, depositing very little, then making 1 trade, and withdrawing the remaining amount. All to get about $20-25 worth of Burst coins. It does nobody any good this way and the Burst coins might as well be given to charity. It would save me a lot of time this way too.

It is because trades only once, it is better if the prize is fixed but the time or number of trades is increased.  doing so will prevent members from being hit and run.
