Or maybe it would be easier to leave the ea trade the way it does now but instead of closing one trade at a time make the ea close all trades once tp is hit.

I don't want to interfere here, but it sounds very much like an EA I posted here, go look at the Spider RSI, it takes trades on the arrow signals, (it is obviously not the same as what you want, but the priciple of opening multiple trades at different levels, and closing all (the basket) when a certain profit target is reached.
Else you can also look at Blanco's Simple System post, I am busy coding that now, also very much the same as your penultimate post.

I don't know what you mean because I think the EA already does what you just said. I just back tested it and if the market is bullish it will close buy trades one at a time simply because TP is being met. Meanwhile, the sell side keeps making new trades as the price increases. They will later close as a basket when their TP is hit. Either way, trades will close whenever TP is hit.

Here is the EA with the core of what has been mentioned done.

This EA starts out with a buy and sell order at the same time. After this, if price goes up then the EA will place additional buy orders at certain amount of pips each. And vise versa if price goes down. The EA places trades this way which the EA will consider together as a basket. The process continues until TP is reached. At which point, the basket is closed and the cycle starts over again.

As I said, this is the core version of the EA and doesn't include extra like starting an additional cycle after X pips after the previous cycle has hit Max Trades. I would like this EA tested first and then improvements can be thought our more clearly.

Note: I have only back tested this to see that it works. I have not tested live. If testing live, make sure its on a demo account.

I noticed with this EA that you have to put in a number under max trades or it won't place additional trades. Putting 0 doesn't disable it. It's not a big deal though. The EA is working great so far.

Forgot about that. That will be fixed in any future update. For now, you can disable by putting in a large number instead.

This is a typical EA and you run it like any other EA. If you have ever run expert advisors before then you should be able to run this one too. If you are having a specific problem, please show a screenshot or attach a log file.

Well, you said Metatrader 4 in your previous post and now you are saying MT5.

If you are trying to run in MT5, then this is the problem. It is an MT4 EA.
