Hello, I have a quite simple idea, but I cannot write an EA to test it and find if it could work.

It should be flexible in order to try it to different pairs or indexes. Actually I'm testing it on dax day by day.

I use:

1) Maximum and minimum taken in some bars (something like 1st hour range, but flexible in order to choose from a bar of 15 minutes to 4 hours). Actually I'm trying first 30 minutes range. It would be useful to see it on the chart like 2 horizontal lines. I haven't found such an indicator.

2) Enter at the opening price of the bar following the first bar which closes over the range of the chosen period.

3) Variable take and stop to optimize.

4) When to reenter after a stop?

5) We could chose another way to trade and take only the orders in the direction given from the 2nd point. My idea is to take an average (customizable) of maximum and minimum and to trade over this channel taking only the signals filtered as I've written above.

Thank you for the help. Any idea to improve is well accepted.

I can write an EA for you.
Just for the record, an EA can trade any instrument it is placed on.
Just a couple of questions:
1) Maximum and minimum taken in some bars (something like 1st hour range, but flexible in order to choose from a bar of 15 minutes to 4 hours). Actually I'm trying first 30 minutes range. It would be useful to see it on the chart like 2 horizontal lines. I haven't found such an indicator.

Is this the Hi/Lo range or open close?

2) Enter at the opening price of the bar following the first bar which closes over the range of the chosen period.

Open in which direction?

4) When to reenter after a stop?
I don't know, you tell me what the EA should do

Is this the Hi/Lo range or open close? HIGH LOW RANGE

2) Enter at the opening price of the bar following the first bar which closes over the range of the chosen period.

Open in which direction? LONG IF ABOVE AND SHORT IF UNDER

4) When to reenter after a stop?

MAYBE WE CAN SEE IT AFTER. FIRST WE CAN CHECK IF THE IDEA OF 1 AND 2 COULD BE GOOD. I post a picture. Then I'll explain the idea about moving averages and then if you can put together the 2 things. Thank you very much to all

The second Idea to trade is taken from Moving Average Channel by J.Bernstein, but different rules as written in the picture.
then I'll combine the two ideas

This should be the result of yesterday and today.
Today I traded also the signals of second system. I still haven't found when it's better not to follow it (in sideway market it doesn't work, that's why I thought to filter it with the first one). Yesterday I traded almost the opposite... (that's why I'm asking if someone can code an EA, so that to have a backtest and see which stop and take are better)
Thank you for all
