Some questions:

Where does the 76.1% come from? This is not a typical Fib. level.

What do you mean by "any time it changes direction"?

I believe he must be referring to 76.4 level, which only very few use (as much as I know) but quite an effectively level.

I thought it was 78.6. It's been a while though since I read about it. Whatever it is, you're right and not many people use it.

Just to further add, this target indicator works effectively and I have been watching it (not trading it yet), and it is bang on (in equity futures/commodities not sure about Forex but since everything is price action I am sure this goes for Forex as well).

But again, this has the same issue as the VP indicator which we have been discussing in the other thread.  It doesnt change the levels, until you remove it off the chart and add it again and then you suddenly see the change and some good points.

Just thought of letting you know, in case if you are working on this one.

Warm Regards

I think you guys might be right. The 76.4 does seem more accurate based on the math. I don't know why I was thinking 78.6. I'll look at the code then and possibly change the indicator.

I read everything you said, but cannot make much sense of it. Here is an example. In the first sentence, you said not a level, but the next sentence says you need a level. Also, you mentioned before when it changes direction, but the indicator doesn't seem to change direction. It doesn't seem to update any lines until it is reloaded. So please be more clear about what you want done and I will try and help.

I'll make a newer version of this indicator. There are too many parts in the code that I don't like and which can be improved. I'll post the updated version as soon as possible.

Here is the new 'Dinapoli Target Malay Indicator'. I had to re-code most of it.

Changes:

- Added the 76.4 Fibonacci level
- The indicator updates the lines now without needing to reload it
- The alerts wont go off every time you load the indicator now
- The indicator is more efficient and faster
- Added adjustable colors

This indicator doesn't draw any Fibonacci levels to begin with. So it's not a simple addition of this Fib. level. It would be best to add the more important levels like 61.8 also. This would be more useful to everyone, but there is probably an indicator out there that does this already. Try searching for one. I just spent a lot of time coding your other indicator and now you are asking for something else free right away. Slow it down a little bit buddy :)
