We all use brokers to access the market but are we actually trading on the same market as the big banks and institutions or are we just betting against other traders that our brokers have as clients?

It depends on whether your broker is a Market Maker or not. If a Market Maker, their prices will be tied to real world prices, but all trades will be done internally on their own order book. So they basically match your orders with other client's orders or even their own orders and create a market this way.

If you trade on broker dealing desk, hence your order will not be forwarded to the interbank market, but still, hold on the desk broker, if you win or getting profit hence your broker will lose, but if you loss hence your broker will win, so broker dealing desk usually will make you losing money, although they offer big bonus etc

ECN broker is the non-dealing desk, and they will forward your order directly to interbank market, and this is better than dealing desk broker.

Depending on the type of broker that we choose, if we use the dealer broker, we are different from the market used by banks and other institutions, but if we use ECN brokers, we will trade with banks and other market players in real markets instead of market makers such as broker dealers or delaing desk.

Choosing dealing desk broker or ECN broker is depending with each trader, there are advantage and disadvantage of each type broker, ECN broker is good, but usually to start trading need a huge capital to start with, and retail trader also can choosing dealing desk broker or market maker, as long as these broker having good reputation among trader

in my opinion this really depends on the broker how you use it, just as the admin says whether he is a dealer broker or broker not a bookie, but please also note that we are not retail traders, our money is thrown into the stock market, it will be accommodated by bro, which I understand that. unless we have large funds like millions of dollars and choose brokers who are not bookies as a place for us to trade.

For me in trading, our enemy is ourselves, our ego is our enemy. If we can control our ego or lust, we will be able to succeed and succeed in this trading business. of course we get the same price as the real market price, but this in my opinion depends on the broker we use, but it is not possible also with small capital we can feel trading that our capital money is thrown directly into the trading market, in my opinion if the broker is not bandar has a certain deposit limit for this.

Know your broker type exactly it is market maker or dealing desk. So best choice of broker it must be priorty.
