In my opinion, this doesn't necessarily mean all local brokers are bad or unsuitable for use. There may be local brokers who continue to operate with good standards and transparency, despite being in a less robust regulatory environment. The problem is, market perception is often more influenced by general trust than by individual broker assessments.
